IPLocator maps the physical and logical topology of the network infrastructure bringing a real capacity to watch over, follow and control your IP location.

Based on an intuitive web interface IPLocator simplifies the access to your information with the aid of several powerful and multi criteria search engines. Continuous, «on demand» or scheduled discoveries allow you to modulate and adapt the utilization of IPLocator according to your network extension or your necessity to get the latest information.

Automates network documentation

IPLocator can execute discoveries through the Local Area Network (LAN) —and over the WAN— on thousand of switches in just a few minutes. The location of the IP addresses or the MAC addresses can be qualified by:

• Switch, slot and port number
• DNS name of the device
• VLAN of the device
• Port status speed and name

The removal of an infected station becomes really easy and fast providing an optimum reactivity to security alerts.

Traceability of mobile stations

IPLocator identifies the changes of IP or MAC addresses localization on the network to bring a global view of the company’s stations mobility.

• Addresses offset including: switch, slot, and port.
• Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) offset of an IP and/or MAC address.

The history information displayed shows when and who was connecting the device. It makes it easy to follow all moves of IP or MAC addresses, and thus control and track mobility within the network.

The data storage provides a time identification of the mobile stations and actively participates in the optimization of information system security.

Programmed discoveries

IPLocator enables the definition of discovery scenarios by the definition of scanned resources and frequency in order to adapt the process to the company needs.

Data exportation

IPLocator enables exports of complete inventory of your network components, as: switches, stacks, slots, ports and VLAN. Network data collected from IPLocator can be uploaded into several file formats —HTML, PDF or Excel™ spreadsheet —, by using a simple resource selection on the web interface. The search engine enables filtering of information to be exported.

Reports and statistics

IPLocator provides comparative reports and statistics of successive discoveries. That reporting enables network administrators to quickly detect network activity and port usage.
