SOLIDserver™ New Release 4.0.1![]()
SOLIDserver™ new release 4.0.1 offers users advanced customization features that will bring them better visibility and control over their data. It also includes DNSSEC management whose features are described below. DNSSECDNSSEC is a mechanism enabling the validation and authentication of the origin and integrity of DNS data. Implementing DNSSEC is a complex operation that must be carefully planned and executed as any error could lead to serious network dysfunctions and costly correction measures. With SOLIDserver™, EfficientiP automates and simplifies DNSSEC integration thanks to a centralized and unified approach of DNS service management. It includes:
Imbricated subnetsEfficientIP has added the concept of imbricated subnets to its addressing plan management solution. Subnets can be created inside existing subnets while remaining in the same addressing space. EfficientiP’s solution allows you to streamline subnet imbrication. The display of the addressing plan arborescence has been improved. It now offers an in-depth navigation in the addressing plan, whatever the level of imbricated subnets is. The subnet search engine can list all the imbricated subnets in one page, which can then be filtered through the arborescence while keeping their order of imbrication. Smart FoldersA Smart Folder is a personalized view of your database. It is derived from Apple® Itunes Smart Folders. The Smart Folder is automatically updated when the database is modified so you benefit of a real time view of your data. For example, with a Smart Folder you can display all the subnets by country, region, department, or by department and country. SOLIDserver™ then manages the content of the Smart Folders according to the criteria defined by the user. Top listThe Top Lists display the 10, 20, 50 first lines of a specific search. For example, you can display the 20 first DHCP scopes which are filled more than 90%, expired slave zones or DNS domains whose Internet Registrar will expire in less than 4 weeks. AlertsEfficientiP added an alert management feature that allows you to create an alert on parameters you define. For example, you can create a filter on forward DNS zones on timeout. Forward zones go in timeout when the remote DNS server pointed by the forward zone does not respond to DNS requests anymore. If this filter gives at least one result, an alert is launched and send via a SNMP trap or an email to every administrator of a group. The group can be integrated in a LDAP directory or ActiveDirectory. By email, a link allows you to display the concerned forward zones. The ongoing alerts are listed in the management console where they can be modified or deleted. Quick SearchQuick Searches are quick search engines allowing you to reach pre-filtered data directly, according to parameters you defined. For example, a Quick Search can display every subnet from a specific site simply by typing its name in the table, without a click! Quick WizardQuick Wizards are preconfigured wizards for frequent operations. For example, to create a RR record on a specific domain or to add a printer. BookmarksBookmarks allow you to save a request or a filtred view of SOLIDserver to have a quick access to it in the future. For example, a bookmark can display all forward zones, pointing on a specific server whose name contains «intranet». |
